Pre-op: This 23 year old patient is 5 ft 3 inches tall, weighs 132 pounds and has 36C breasts. She requests a breast lift with augmentation to a 36 D cup size. She has a Grade III –IV ptosis (nipple greater than 2 cm below inframmary crease and pointing downward). Dr. Moore cautioned her preoperatively that Grade III and IV ptosis patients usually require an anchor shaped incision to achieve optimal long lasting results.
Post-op: Patient is shown 6 months following Wise pattern mastopexy with breast enlargement using low profile 325cc subglandular silicone implants, which Dr. Moore feels gives the most natural 'feel' to the breasts with least chance of recurrent ptosis.
