This patient is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 135 pounds with a tuberous breast deformity where the lower half of her breast tissue did not form properly and became like fibrous scar tissue. This is a very difficult deformity to treat with augmentation alone and usually requires release of the fibrous scar tissue internally at the same time that the breast is expanded with implants.
We used low profile, 330 cc implants since she had a very wide chest, and approached the scar tissue through a periareolar incision. The postoperative photos at four months shows that her breast is well expanded with a nice curve to the entire lower breast and excellent projection with a relatively small implant.
